Hobart Miniature Car Club was formed in 1967 by a group of Slot racing enthusiasts.
In 1999 it was resurrected to race 1/32 scale slot cars on several home tracks in the greater Hobart Area. |

Driver stints Time Day/Night
Driver 1 00-15 Day
Driver 2 15-30 Day
Driver 3 30-45 Night
Driver 4 45-60 Night
Driver 1 60-75 Night
Driver 2 75-90 Night
Driver 3 90-105 Day
Driver 4 105-120 Day
Practice:
- Teams of 4 drivers
- 4 cars to be provided which will stay on the same lane
- 8 x 15 minute heats to make up 2 hours
- Each TEAM will drive on every lane twice through.
- There will be 60 seconds compulsory (power off) pit stop between each block of 15 minutes with compulsory driver change.
- The heat format will be a day/night format as follows:

Driver 1 00-15 Day
Driver 2 15-30 Day
Driver 3 30-45 Night
Driver 4 45-60 Night
Driver 1 60-75 Night
Driver 2 75-90 Night
Driver 3 90-105 Day
Driver 4 105-120 Day
- Each team may choose their own driver order.
- Each driver to drive at least 1 night heat, or part of.*
- Once 15 minute heat has finished (voice announces heat over), power will remain on & drivers are to keep driving to complete the lap & progress back to Start / Finish. This will allow race system to calculate part laps completed. Power will cut as last car to complete lap passes sensor.
- Tyre cleaning to be rag or tape only.
Practice:
- Official Practice on the night will be between 6.50 & 7.20
- Teams will be allocated 7 minutes practice time on each lane.
- Race to start @ 7.30 promptly.
